TELEVISION PRODUCTION TRAINING

Summary
Training in Suva, 2000

I have given Camerawork and Lighting training in the UK and abroad as I like to pass on the skills acquired from many years in broadcast television production to others just starting.

I give very much 'hands on' courses in Television Camerawork & Lighting Techniques with the emphasis on real learning by practical application so these are only suitable for genuinely ambitious aspiring professionals, they are most definitely not for amateurs.

The courses can run for one to five days in a venue in any English speaking country which can supply a broadcast standard camera with grip equipment and professional lighting kit.

Courses Completed:
United Kingdom
BBC TV, Wood Norton Two day lighting course for staff in retraining at the headquarters of BBC training near Evesham.
West Surrey College of Art & Design Two day course on basic camera and lighting techniques.

Abroad
Australia, Imparja Television, Alice Springs NT One day course lighting the national news and demonstrating camera techniques.
Brazil, ECO TV, Paraty Five days lighting local news and giving camera tuition to the staff.
Fiji, University of the South Pacific, Suva Five day intensive course on production techniques with camera and lighting during which a 7-8 minute programme with two commercials was made.
